It’s been quite the journey for Graeme and Chris Hellings since endeavouring to build a senior community unlike any other. They started in Traralgon and almost 30 years later, their little endeavour now stretches across Victoria with 5 different locations!
The first village, Mayfair Gardens Easy Living Village (now Park Lane Living Traralgon), became not only an alternative lifestyle option for the residents of Gippsland, but a community of homeowners enjoying the best stages of retirement together. Over the years, Easy Living Villages rapidly grew into a group of five great retirement village options across Victoria; Traralgon and Traralgon West, Shepparton, Bendigo and the most recent addition, Wonthaggi.
Easy Living Villages, now Park Lane Living, has been operating for almost 30 years, making it one of the oldest lifestyle village operators in Victoria.
Way back then, Graeme and Chris’ boys were just toddlers! Now all grown up and with kids of their own, Luke and Joshua take on crucial roles within the company allowing Graeme and Chris to take the foot off the pedal a little… Just a little! It’s with great pride that the Hellings family now get to work side by side to continue growing the family business, taking it to new heights.
Why the move from Easy Living Villages to Park Lane Living? You may or may not be aware that the family also owns and operates a series of family holiday parks and indoor children’s play centres. Park Lane Holiday Parks were named after the location of Graeme and Chris’ first senior community, located on Park Lane in Traralgon.
In the spirit of being a family business, we wanted to bring Easy Living Villages into the family and give it a little Park Lane face-lift. The pride the Hellings family has in the Park Lane name is shared by the incredible staff both in the head office and spread throughout all of its parks, villages and play centres.
So, we introduce to you Park Lane Living and we look forward to continuing to provide all of our residents with the same dedicated service we’re known for and welcoming all new residents into our communities so they too can enjoy the best lifestyle possible.
